FAQs
Am I entitled to claim free tickets?
Anyone under the age of 26 is entitled to request tickets through this scheme. Parents may request tickets on behalf of younger children, but we will need to take the child's date or birth.
Can I sit where I like? What if I'm coming with paying customers (i.e. parents/friends over 26)?
Yes, you can sit in any seat that has not already been sold with the exception of stand up comedy, where we will usually tell you where you can sit (this is because these shows often sell out so we'll be putting seats aside to be given out through this scheme).
If you are coming with paying customers and you book at the same time, we can make sure that you are sitting together, subject to availability.
All shows in the studio have unreserved seating, so you can sit wherever you like when you arrive.
How often can I come to the theatre?
You can come as often as you like, but not more than once to any single production (i.e. if it is on for a week, you may only come once in that week).
For some types of production, there is a limit to a number of times you may come per season, as follows:
- You can only claim free tickets to comedy shows once per season
- You can only claim free tickets to children's shows twice per season
- You can only claim free tickets to hires twice per season
How many tickets can I have?
For comedy, children's theatre, studio shows and hires, you can book a maximum of 2 tickets at a time. For other main house shows (including children's / family shows in the main house) you can book up to 6 tickets.
PLEASE NOTE THAT TICKETS CANNOT BE USED BY ANYONE OVER THE AGE OF 26 - we will require proof of age from all customers when tickets are collected on the door, and anyone who can't provide this will not be given a free ticket.
What if I've got tickets and can't make it?
You need to let us know as soon as possible if you can't come to a performance that you have tickets for. We don't want to have to turn people away and then we left with empty seats. If your tickets are left uncollected on more than one occasion, we reserve the right to not offer you any further free tickets through this scheme.
T&Cs
Whilst we will make tickets available for all productions, The Nuffield reserved the right to limit availability as we feel appropriate.
Free tickets cannot be claimed retrospectively i.e. if tickets have already been purchased, we will not refund them and then offer free tickets in their place.
The Nuffield reserves the right to refuse applications for free tickets to anyone who cannot show proof of age, or anyone who we believe to be taking an unfair advantage of the scheme.
