How it works
A Night Less Ordinary is an Arts Council England scheme which will provide 618,000 free theatre tickets to anyone under 26 in more than 200 venues across England, between February 2009 and March 2011.
IMPORTANT:
You might have heard the news that the government has ‘curtailed’ A Night Less Ordinary. However, The Nuffield (along with many other venues) will still be running the scheme until the end of March 2011 in exactly the same way. In reality, this just means that the Arts Council won't be actively promoting the scheme from now on. Read on to find out about tickets for our Autumn season...
The Nuffield is delighted to be taking part in this scheme and is offering a limited number of free tickets for ALL performances to anyone under the age of 26. We hope that this will encourage young people to come to the theatre who perhaps haven't been before, or who aren't able to come as often as they'd like to.
AUTUMN SEASON TICKETS
We do not have shows on during July and August. Autumn tickets will be released as follows:
SEPTEMBER SHOWS: Available from Tues 17 August
OCTOBER SHOWS: Available from Fri 17 September
NOVEMBER SHOWS: Available from Mon 18 October
DECEMBER SHOWS: Available from Wed 17 November

Although we are making tickets available for all performances, and there are no restrictions on the day of the week that you can come on, there are some limits on the number of tickets that you can claim, or the number of times that you can come to certain types of performances - this is really just to make sure that we can make the tickets as widely available as possible. There is also a limited number available for each production, so if you want tickets, you need to book as early as possible!

Whilst we will make tickets available for all productions, The Nuffield reserved the right to limit availability as we feel appropriate.
Free tickets cannot be claimed retrospectively i.e. if tickets have already been purchased, we will not refund them and then offer free tickets in their place.
The Nuffield reserves the right to refuse applications for free tickets to anyone who cannot show proof of age, or anyone who we believe to be taking an unfair advantage of the scheme.
