Hampshire Youth Theatre, in its eleventh year with The Nuffield, performs its first Shakespeare.
On the eve of an election in Rome, the returning war hero, Titus Andronicus, drags his prisoners and the bodies of his sons killed in battle through the streets to the family burial place. He is immediately faced with a terrible choice….
TITUS ANDRONICUS is a bloody trail of honour killing and destruction with a good peppering of wit and black humour. How do we balance the notions of justice and mercy? How would you feel if you were faced with the destroyers of your loved ones? Would you be tempted to take the law into your own hands?
