By Euripides
Adapted and directed by Tim Ford
Dates
9 – 11 September
Hampshire Youth Theatre, in their twelfth year, present a seductive retelling of Euripides’ searing and vibrant play that has endured through millennia.
THE BACCHAE explores the battle between the wild and the tame that rages in every human heart and lies at the core of every choice we make. By putting music, movement and poetry at its anarchic heart, this production reconnects with the elemental nature of a story that has captured imaginations both ancient and modern.
