A Royal Exchange Theatre Manchester and Lyric Hammersmith Production
Winner of the 2008 Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting
Dates
13 – 15 March
When white secondary school teacher Amanda is pushed to the ground by black student Jason, she’s reluctant to report him as she knows exclusion could condemn him to a future as troubled as his past. But Jason can protect himself, and, with a story of his own, he drags Amanda into a vortex of lies.
Vivienne Franzmann’s bold new play recently won the Bruntwood Playwriting Competition and The George Devine Award 2010. As we went to press, it had just been announced that it has two nominations for the Evening Standard Theatre Awards.
